We are created to worship, and our lives are spent worshipping something, so we make sure that we worship the only thing truly worthy of our honour and praise. One old Christian confession memorably says that our main purpose in life is ‘to glorify God, and to enjoy him for ever’.
Music for us is big part of our worship of God. We punctuate our service with song, and our gifted worship team leads us by using a mixture of contemporary songs and older hymns.
The closer you get to the truth, the clearer becomes the beauty, and the more you will find worship welling up within you. That’s why theology and worship belong together. The one isn’t just a headtrip; the other isn’t just emotion. NT Wright
