Since 2010, St Saviour’s has been home to The Willow Tree Nursery School, in our bright and spacious vestry hall. The nursery school is a term time only setting for 2 to 4 year olds. It was graded as outstanding in all areas in its latest Ofsted report.
The Willow Tree Nursery School is on the Wendell Park side of the church and has its own large and newly-landscaped private garden (above) with a view of the park. The garden provides an unrivalled, immersive outdoor learning environment for the children to explore and enjoy all year round.
The team at the nursery school say: ‘We strongly believe in learning through play and experiencing the awe and wonder of the world through the children’s eyes. We focus on the key element of children being children, and do this using a range of imaginative, sensory and exploratory play. There are always lots of opportunities to get messy!’
