Youth church

St Saviour’s youth church is lead by Stefanie, our children and families coordinator. We focus on the stories of the Bible that the children can relate to their day to day lives, and encourage them to think about how the Bible can teach them how to live a full and happy Christian life.

We have two teaching groups for ages 4-8 years old, and 8 years and over. We also have a crèche available for babies and toddlers, with a speaker so parents and carers can still listen to the service.

The younger children’s lessons are activity based, learning through arts and crafts, games and music. They love to present their masterpieces to the main church at the end of the service! This year we have focused on the Old Testament, introducing the children to the inspirational stories of creation, Noah, Rebekah and Moses.

The older children’s lessons are designed to get them thinking and asking questions as they grapple with growing up and how their faith fits into their day to day lives – while still having fun and playing games too! They wrote and directed the script for our nativity play last year, which was a great success!

We love to organise events for the children, including our nativity service, Christingle service, and a light party for Halloween.
